Thats the same price as Tidals HiFi Plus plan, which includes Master. ![]() An individual Premium subscription costs 9.99 per month, and a previous report suggested that Spotify was exploring a HiFi plan that would cost 19.99 per month. So sure, they would want to raise their monthly fees. While it would be nice to have a HiFi streaming option on Spotify, users may have to pay more for this perk. Spotify already offers some of the lowest payments per stream. Unfortunately, neither option is anywhere close to Hi-Fi (CD quality), which uses a bitrate of 1,411kbps. ![]() Tiny services such as QoBuz are barely hanging in. Tidal is in an amorphous state, having major problems. So far, over the more than two decades that streaming has been around, almost every separate company doing it has failed. So Amazon, Apple, Google and possibly Microsoft, if they ever get their act together, will be able to do this. ![]() I’ve been saying for several years that the only companies that will be able to offer music streaming on a large scale will be companies that offer it as a service, as additive to their other, much larger businesses. ![]()
